Summer Recap and Looking Forward

Posted on September 24, 2019 by Continyou Care

Where did summer go? We wanted to take some time to highlight some accomplishments and improvements that have taken place over the summer. We also have some exciting news about what we are up to over the next few months!

Finalist at ORCACON Competition

We’re honoured to have been named as a finalist for the Dragon’s Den competition at the upcoming ORCACON conference taking place this week. We’re excited to share how we are working on changing the way technology is used to improve the resident experience in retirement homes across Canada.

New Features

We launched new features as part of our ongoing goal to always inspire innovation in senior care.

Our solution now offers a digital signage screen shareable link, which allows residents to see what is on the digital signage screens from their room! This helps staff and residents be notified of the digital signage content wherever they are in the building. Crucially, it means that residents can now see the daily menus and daily activities in particular, from the comfort of their room.

We have also made it easier for chefs in the kitchen to view recipes using the same equipment they already have in place with our solution. This keeps things simple for the chef, helping eliminate mistakes and speed up the process.

Finally, we have also created an improved version of label-printing that is easy to use for staff, to print labels for supplements quickly and easily.

This is Long Term Care

We were also recently at the “This is Long Term Care” conference in September. We joined hundreds of aging care leaders, researchers, students, innovators, and other front-line healthcare personnel to showcase what we had to offer to the industry and how we are able to help cut costs and improve satisfaction in the care home environment.
